Board of Governors

BOARD OF GOVERNORS

The DESS Board, in alignment with our Constitution, British and international school standards, and Qatar’s laws, oversees school management and development. Collaborating closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Board proposes policies, strategies, and improvement plans while ensuring efficient resource utilisation and educational advancements. Through regular meetings, the Board monitors school operations to realise our vision as an international beacon of excellence in education.

The Board benefits from diverse perspectives at each meeting. It is composed of elected members, the School Principal, and non-voting members like the Business Manager, Staff Representative, and Parent Council Representative. Sub-Committees, comprising of Governors and Senior Leadership Team members, convene regularly to address complex matters and provide recommendations to the Board.
